Small....but, World Class Sushi

You can go to Ocean Sushi Deli anytime during their afternoon or early evening hours, and find the place absolutely packed with people, and more take out orders than you can count!!! This place has incredibly delicious food! All the sushi is made fresh and you can go to the counter, and watch them make it. When it arrives the poke in the sushi is fresh and it never has any "fishy" odors to any of their selections. They also make wonderful tempura, including seafood and multiple tempura vegetables. Their prices are more than reasonable, and they even have party trays with up to 48 pieces of fresh sushi for under $25.00! Everything is made fresh to order there, and as I've had all their raw fish dishes, they are scrumptuous!! All you taste is fresh from the ocean seafood, combined well either by itself, or additional dishes to add to your feast. They have wonderful soups and salads as well. They have noodle soups, miso soups, or tofu soups. For those wanting their meat cooked in their sushi or in their entrees, they do that as well, with some out of this world combinations. We eat there at least twice a week, because it is so affordable, and a very healthy way to eat. Since moving here 2 years ago, this is our favorite place for fresh seafood, done Pacific Islander style. You won't be sorry you came, guaranteed! A true taste of Hawaii and Asia! The atmosphere is casual, the staff are very busy, but, always tend to your needs. It is a small, clean restaurant with tables for all sizes. We are so fortunate to have such a gourmet sushi restaurant in our town of Hilo, Hawaii !!
